Review: From the very start I was entranced with the main character The Dude, played by Jeff Bridges. The movie gets it's drive when The Dude is mistaken for a millionaire who has the same last name Lebowski. Some fiends come to retrieve some money and spoil his rug that "ties the room together, man." So The Dude takes it upon himself to get a replacement rug from the old millionaire Lebowski. On the way out of the mansion with his new rug The Dude meets Bunny, Lebowski's 20 year old wife. The adventure gets started when Bunny gets kidnapped and a million dollars is wanted for ransom and Lebowski hires The Dude to make the exchange.

John Goodman, who plays Walter in the movie, is The Dude's best friend and bowling partner. I would say this character is a little extravagant with his army background and goes so far as to pull a gun on a man in the bowling lanes over a dispute about a score.

By far my favorite character in the movie has to be Jesus played by John Turtuno. He is a tall and lanky kind of person who thinks he is everything when it comes to bowling. He has a very flowing way of moving and is very built up as "the guy to beat" even though he is a child molester. Although his part isn't a very big one it sure is wonderful to watch this character as I am sure you will laugh more than once.

Lthan Coen, the producer, and Joel Coen, the director, worked together to write the script and there is a very nice 30 minute "Making of The Big Lebowski," which interviews both about the movie. Other features that are nice to see is that each main character has a biography and a filmography which are in itself very lengthy and informative.

If you haven't seen this particular movie yet and you are in a mellow kind of mood and prepared to laugh this is a good movie to buy.

The Big Lebowski - synopsis: is definitely one of my top 5 movies of the year. It is a splendid movie with very interesting characters to coincide with it's plot.
